Square
If your temples and jaw are about the same width, and you have a prominent jaw line, then you most likely have a square face. Celebrities like Olivia Wilde, and Emily Deschanel share this face shape as well. The goal of your brows is to soften the face and balance your jawline giving it a more narrow appearance. You can achieve this by creating a softly rounded brow with a strong, curved arch.
Round
If the height and width of your face is generally the same, then it is considered round. Supermodel Gigi Hadid, and actresses Emma Stone and Mila Kunis share this shape as well. You want your eyebrows to have a high, angular arch to help define your cheekbones.
Long
Those with a long face shape normally have a prominent chin and elongated features. Liv Tyler and Sarah Jessica Parker are amongst the most famous ladies with this face shape. The goal of your eyebrows is to create a visual break creating the appearance of a shorter face. To do this keep the arch to a minimum and extend the tail of your brows slightly passed the outer corner of your eye. This will play up your horizontal features.
Heart
Reese Witherspoon, and both Kim and Kourtney Kardashian are famous for their heart shaped faces. A heart shaped is one with angular features, a prominent forehead, and often a point chin and defined jaw. You will want to softly arch your eyebrows to help balance out your angular features. It is also important that you keep your brows maintained and well groomed.
Oval
An oval face shape is the most common of the 5 and can be found on celebrities such as Beyonce, Jessica Alba, and Rihanna. Those with an oval face normally have a wide forehead and prominent cheekbones. With being the most universally flattering face shape you will want to maintain these features creating a slightly arched and balanced eyebrow.
Brow Shaping: Overview
Most shaping is done below the eyebrow as opposed to above. A popular trick is to only tweeze the lower part of the brow and let the upper half grow out to create a more feathered look. If you’re still unsure about how to shape, just make sure the brow is framing your eye. Your eyebrow should start at the inner corner, arch at the pupil, and end at the out corner. You can measure this by hold a pencil or the handle of a makeup brush up to the side of your nose.
Brow Growth & Fullness Tricks
You may have noticed while you were shaping brows that you needed a little more to work with.
Give the illusion of fullness
There are tons of eyebrow pencils, gels, and pomades available at drugstores and cosmetic counters. So fill in your brows with whatever makes you feel comfortable. Once you fill them in be sure to set them with a clear or tinted brow gel so they don’t fade throughout the day.
