While we had dozens of #PinkWINK images pouring last week, this week we were blessed with some really touching, in-depth press on our #BOGOforthecure Campaign.
Actually, for the first time ever WINK was a trending topic on Twitter, thanks to Erika Costello of “Notes from My Dressing Table”! Her blog about #PinkWINK got so many retweets, that it was a trending topic by Friday ?
Fashion blogger Jessica generously offered her blog space for the week to help us get the word out about the campaign; The even cooler part? Jessica is going through exactly what I did; her aesthetician told her to take a “lash break” from her extensions. So WINK came at the perfect time for this little lady’s lash health! If you follow the Amalie blog, you know how obsessed we are with rising makeup artist Krystal Sutherland (Krystal Clear Makeup). In this video, she tells us all about her own scare with cancer–and the complications with having cancer so young. It’s definitely worth a watch!
An excerpt: “If I could do cartwheels I’d do them after using WINKLash & Brow Enhancing Oil for the last two months. I use this almost every single night on my eyebrows and about 2 – 3 times a week on my lashline. I never had to go through actual chemotherapy but I was on chemo drugs for almost 2 years.”
From MIT to China and back again, I tell my full story on the Product Startup’s podcast. If you’ve ever wondered what the behind-the-scenes life of an entrepreneur looks like (it’s much less glamorous than you’d think), or are curious about starting your own beauty line, make sure to check out the full podcast here.
We LOVED Little Miss Crista’s September favorites video. She went really in-depth on what the experience of receiving a Pink WINK would be like for a Breast Cancer Warrior. It’s definitely worth a watch; if you want to skip to the #PinkWINK part, it’s around the 6 minute mark. Watch here.
Megan guest posted again on FitBoomBah with an in-depth explanation of exactly why we host this Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign every year. If you were wondering about the inspiration behind the campaign, make sure to read her post here.
