Two really great, in-depth features went out last week. One by Shopify, highlighting the challenges and lessons learned from Amalie’s humble beginnings, in Megan’s dorm room, to her apartment in China and many trips between. The other, by Shari Rudavsky at the Indianapolis Star, highlighted the inspiration behind and creation of Farm to Face, our homegrown, handcrafted line of beauty oils, launching tonight at midnight EST.
Both are worth a read. You can find the links below:
Farm to Face: Indiana-Made Cosmetics – The Indy Star
October 27th, 2016
Unbelievably (to us!) this story made the front page of the Indianapolis Star. With over 280 shares on Facebook at the time of writing this article, it’s safe to say that this was a popular read! We are so thankful for all the support from the Indiana community–not just this week, but throughout our entire 3.5 years in business. A big thank you to Shari and the Indy Star for publishing this great story (and video!) about Amalie and the creation of the Farm to Face product line, which goes on sale at midnight tonight. 9 Lessons from a 6 Figure Beauty Brand that Launched in a Dorm Room – Shopify
October 24th, 2016
Thank you to Dayna and the Shopify blog for helping us start off last week RIGHT! Dayna is an incredibly talented storyteller, and managed to tell my own story in a more articulate, poignant manner than I ever could. While some stories have focused solely on WINK and its creation, Dayna helped write my 4+ year startup story in a way that could benefit other small business owners. The 9 lessons (which she was able to sort out from my majorly jet-lagged interview) are a must for any new business owner. Read the full story here.
A Wink and a Smile #PinkWINK #BOGOfortheCure – Lit From Within
October 28th, 2016
Nidia of Lit from Within, gave a glowing review of SHINE earlier this year, but she wasn’t sure if she wanted to try WINK. When I told Nidia about the Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign and how we give back with #pinkWINK, she knew she had to try it. See Nidia’s full review of WINK, including her before and after pictures, here.
