The newest version of the Wink bottle has been long debated and long-awaited. After 7 months of visiting factories in China, testing samples in-house and in your houses, negotiation and quality control, we finally started shipping on January 23rd. Now that you have the bottle in your hands, let’s go over some of the key features of this bottle that make it unique and awesome. In 2016, it will be easier than ever to get longer and fuller looking lashes and brows.

Let’s dig into 10 key features of the new Wink, starting from the top:
1. Just 7-10 rotations to get her started
The previous click bottle could take anywhere from 30-40 clicks to get the first amount of Wink to expel to the tip. I don’t know about you, but this made my thumb tired! This happened because the inner chamber was twice the size that we needed, so there was plenty of empty space inside to “click” through.
The new bottle takes an average of 10 rotations to get started. Our new chamber matches the product – the chamber can hold just over 2ml, which is where we’ve filled it to. If we filled it too full, it would arrive with the tip wet (which would be weird, no?). Just a few twists and you’re on your way to stronger, longer and fuller looking eyelashes and eyebrows.
2. We’re back to a twist bottle
The previous Wink had a click button applicator–which seemed great in theory–but in reality, it dispensed the product unevenly, leading to lost product. Additionally, the click-button applicator’s unreliability made it difficult to know how many “clicks” to expect for 1 application. Part of this had to do with the fact that the inner chamber of the pen was a plunger. Without a reliable distance for the plunger to move each time, dispensing would always be uneven.
Those days are over. The new applicator is a twist applicator, and the inner chamber is carefully calibrated to move the same increment with each 360 degree rotation of the base.
3. ..but with a twist
The twist is this — we’ve added “Beauty Marks” to show you where a 360 degree rotation is. In testing, the biggest thing we heard was “How do I know when I’ve rotated the base 360 degrees? There should be marks to show me!”
You asked, we delivered. The new bottle’s beauty marks make it incredibly easy to see when you’ve dispensed enough product. One 360 degree rotation is 2 applications–enough for either 2 eyebrows or 2 eyelids.

4. View your usage
One big customer request was “I want to see how much product I have left!” so we changed the plastic tip from black to clear.
Now you can see when you’re running low, so you can reorder when you’ve got a few days of Wink left. You don’t want gaps in your brows, why would you want gaps between Wink bottles?
5. Precision comes with a precise cost..and some benefits
We are positive these bottles will not run out before their guaranteed usage is up.
We worked very hard to find a bottle that matched our advertising claims: it better last as long as we say it does. It takes an average of 7-10 rotations to get it started, and the average bottle contains 71 clicks inside. 99.7% of the bottles contain 68-73 clicks, meaning between the average clicks to get it started and the average in a bottle, we are hitting exactly 2 months of usage for lashes or brows per bottle.
If you are using for lashes AND brows, your supply will last 1 month.
If you use more than 1 rotation per night (which is a generous application, we should mention), you will run out early.

6. The brush tip is slimmer – for a more precise application
The new bottle is definitely slimmer and chicer looking than the previous one, but more importantly the brush tip is about 1/3 slimmer, for a more precise application–especially important for applying Wink to the eyelids.
7. She can stand on her own
An important part of getting the Wink bottle to dispense evenly is storing it upright. The previous bottle had a difficult time standing on it’s own, and if you’re anything like us, you’re so excited to use the product that you throw away the box first thing!
Well good news – the new Wink bottle can stand on it’s own. It stands even better in the box or your toothbrush holder ? Whatever it takes! Just keep her upright ?
8. She is vegan and cruelty-free, but just as effective
Without sacrificing formulation quality, the new Wink is 100% vegan and cruelty free – a huge upgrade for Wink and Amalie. We are very proud to continue offering only vegan and cruelty free products in the future.

9. Wink’s not shy about what she has to offer
The new Wink packaging is proud. Proud to say that the formulation is Made in the US, that it’s vegan, cruelty-free and the packaging is recyclable.
She’s also not shy about what she can do! Like a mini-resumé, the new packaging contains Wink’s “credentials” – a list of results that customers saw in testing, so you can know what to expect as well.
10. The illustrated instructions are super easy to follow
